Hey what do you guys do when you start to have negative thoughts, and they start to spiral out of control. I had all this in check but a group of toxic people did something unconscionable to me and it pisses me off. I wont get an apology either. Could you try to counter those negative thoughts with more positive, but still accurate thoughts? If those negative thoughts are repetitive, come up with some affirmations ahead of time that you can look at or think of when the negative thoughts pop up. I know that's kinda what your psych said, but a little more detailed.
When it starts spiralling, maybe come up with something to distract yourself with? Or do some intense exercise for a few minutes?
