Which is why insects are almost always in horror movies. They are scary looking, even if harmless to us! And it's probably why aliens in sci-fi movies resemble large insects too.
One time a Daddy Long Legs was on the lid of a cereal container. I didn't notice at first but when I did, I started screaming and dropped the container. That made the lid pop off and cereal spilled onto the floor. Thankfully it was dry cereal and not the hot, cooked kind. That would have been hard to clean up. Even though they are supposed to be mainly harmless, I'm more scared of spiders than anything I think.
Back to anxiety.......having those creatures around me make me anxious, especially since they outnumber us by a LOT.
