Who can you find to start teaching you the skills you are lacking? This would be a good test of your capabilities & could prove to them you are capable & can do the things you need to do to be independent.
Better than getting out on your own in a "sink or swim" situation.....though I understand that sometimes we need to get out of the situation/circumstances we are in for that to happen.....HOWEVER we also need the means for that to happen.....put together a REAL WORKING PLAN before you do it because if you sink they will be like "told you so" & you definitely do not need that for building your confidence
