Thanks for all the replies. The humpbacks due appear to be synchronized swimmers.
The whales reminded me of kids lining up to race each other. As I watched the video I wondered how they communicated to each other. Probably through sounds they make in their respiratory system? Could they have a language?
I have seen humpback whales in the Gulf of St Lawrence many times when I was a child, but never up close.
