I have been with a Home Health care agency for 3 years this month. I
started out at 8.40 and am still at 8.40 until next month when the
company delivers there first raises of 15 cents. I work 40 hours a
week, and yes they offer benefits, but they want to take too much out
of my paycheck for them...... so here is my predicament.
I put in an application yesterday and literally a half hour later I
recieved a phone call where the woman did a phone screen and scheduled
an interview + i have to do some computer testing. Which by the way im
not worried about because i am good with computers. The reason she is
rushing everything : Their company offers 6 weeks of training classes
before you go out on your own, basically ill be working in a call
center for Coventry Healthcare helping those who are filing claims and
curious about there insurance plans. There is no selling, or calling
people. These classes start Monday and they dont have another one
starting till September. They offer 11.50 an hour + full paid benefits
and ill be recieveing 40 hours a week. I have done a buanch of
research and it seems like everything is totally ligit. Now heres the
problem..... I wont be able to put my 2 weeks in at my employer now, I
called my supervisor who is also a friend and talked to her about it
and well lets just say shes very jacked. Which i understand because
she will have problems filling my caseload.
So what do I do ...... do what is best for me, or what is morally
correct. I have always done what is better for everyone else, but i
really want this job, and i think its whats best for me. Oy HELP!
