Yes, I realize that Bulgarians are Slavic, I am Russian myself, but I thought that Southern Slavic people generally are dark haired. I do understand about centuries of mixing with Turks.
Do you know how to cook a sour milk soup? I was taken to Bulgaria to spend a vacation on the Black sea when I was a child and the cafeteria served sour milk soup, a Bulgarian specialty, every lunch. I hated it then and did not eat it, but now I would enjoy it, having grown very fond of various fermented milk products. I think I should find a recipe!
