I am the host of a system of alters. (DID)

We have used video games for years now as therapy...first just physical therapy (Wii fit) and then other types of games to help areas like visuo-spatial skills, memory (learning maps of big open worlds).

I like puzzles, word games and quizzes (I mainly play free ipad games) some like big open worlds, (such as Zelda) some like cutesy games.

We have a Switch as it's more 'family friendly plus one of us is a huge Zelda fan (and the game is exclusive to NIntendo!) and we have a 'little' (child alter age 6) who has successfully used Animal Crossing to recreate their family on their island and explore their memories and relationships with each and Teenage twins (who used AC & Stardew Valley) to help themself explore their twin bond and relationship with others.

It has been very successful for us and helped parts learn to work together better in order to share and complete a game and we've now had integration of some parts.

I think we would be classed as Partial DID now, there's still a few well established separate personalities who have chosen not to integrate (yet)

They've played 'host' over many years so are recognised by outside people as the 'personality of the body' when they met us IRL.

Whether they ever will (integrate) eventually I'm not sure? ..but there is much better co-operation and communication between us which I believe has been greatly helped by our 'video game therapy'.
