I have FM myself, I haven't found anything to help with the pain. But maybe your husband has early signs of depression, from the pain and the medication. Has he tried acupunture or EFT (know as tapping) they say that helps with pain and other problems.

I will pray for him to stop being in so much pain and that he gets well soon. Just enjoy each other and be there, that will help sometime.
