My dr added long-acting, once a day insulin to my metformin. Thats the only way i could see what foods affected my blood sugar. Basically, if i go over the recommended 30, 30, 45 gms of carbs, my blood sugar stays high.

Do you have a home glucose monitor? It can really help you figure out what is okay to eat, and how much exercise really helps.
