I also second the advice of monitoring your individual glucose response to meals, exercise, sleep etc. but especially meals and walking after eating. this is really the gold standard to find out how you (and not someone else) react to this or that food or combo of foods/drinks.
I have made small adjustments based on monitoring. For instance, after I once saw a huuuge spike after drinking a lemonade at a party (a spike even though the lemonade was followed by a wholesome meal), I started ordering sparkling water at restaurants and drinking it before and with a meal.
