This isn't exactly what you're asking, Hitch, but on PC:


I just resize the photos on Windows Live Photo Gallery by highlighting the photo I want to resize and then selecting "properties" to resize the photo so it can be directly uploaded to the forum.

Not sure what the Apple equivalent is, however.
