I'm on Celexa (60 mgs) along with a bunch of other stuff & it helped pull me out of a severe depression last summer. I do remember that each time we upped the dose, I felt a little off for a couple of days, although I wouldn't have described it as feeling "unreal". In terms of time lines it took about 8 weeks from when I started taking it to be well enough to be discharged from the hospital and I'd say I was relatively depression free at that point.
