One thing to consider that there are 3 forms of lithium and sometimes you have to try them all to find the one your body tolerates well. For me it was Eskalith. There also are lithobid (which I think you said you are on it) and immediate release, which was also better than lithobid for me. On Eskalith I was on a very small dose and it did what it was supposed to do. It took a while to reach the point we tried it though.
