I can't sleep in a room that looks like daytime or like the sun is coming up.

Also, I NEVER go out at night as I have no one to be with. Forget driving too! Those bright lights late model cars have BLIND me, and my night vision sucks---unlike a cat which is my avatar, I know. I won't even take the trash out to the dumpster (in the alley) at night! That can wait! But I do know people in this building do it. Even thought it's well-lit back there, I still wouldn't feel safe but I don't feel completely safe anywhere now.

I'm in a city too and I lock up everything like Fort Knox at night, even when it's hot. I don't want windows open when I'm vulnerable and asleep. It's tempting to leave the sliding door open on hot nights but I'm afraid somebody will climb in.

Also I'm not a "night person" at all and now that it gets dark much faster, it's depressing.

I don't know what sleep paralysis is? I could look it up but it's probably too "technical" or too much medical jargon.
I have experienced sleep paralysis. It’s pretty often to suffer one or more of these episodes. It said it often happens when we are going through a stress period.

When we are sleeping there’s only an area of the brain working. The one that controls our breath, beats, etc. It seems A sleep paralysis happens when we have some more areas of the brain already functioning as when we are awake but the mechanism which allows us movement is not active yet. Something like that.
