I decided to look up my first therapist on the internet because I thought it would be nice to write her and tell her what I have made of myself-- I saw her, consistently, from the ages of 17 to 19, and then on and off (whenever I needed to talk with her). I think the last time I saw her was in 2001 or 2002. I always told her I wanted to be a therapist someday, just like her. She was the person who ulimately led me to decide what I wanted to do from the age of 17-- I just knew I wanted to do exactly what she did.

When I looked her up on the internet, all I found was her obituary. She passed away three months ago.
