I have been bipolar all my life. We had 3 children (one is bipolar also). My point is, while pregnant, I felt great. I also believe it is a hormone thing. My bipolar daughter is now pregnant with her first. She has been doing great also.

As far as adoption, if you feel it is better for you, go for it. I have no idea what the legalise is for it. You need to check it out, though.
