Well just my experience. I find Minnesota a pretty good state. When I lived in the twin cities there was a lot of services but that was decades ago. No idea what it’s like now. Have heard there’s shortages but that’s true all over. But like the boson area there’s winter to deal with.
Albuquerque New Mexico had some great services I was there and homeless at the turn of the century. So again I don’t know how it is now, except I’ve read in the papers violence has really gone up in Albuquerque so that’s a real concern
Dallas I didn’t like at all
Austin tx was great. Started out homeless and ended up in S.E.C. 8 housing with good pdoc that stabilized me. Was a yo yo at times though. The thing though is the heat. It gets very hot often over 100 in the summer. And that seems be be getting worse and though austin is liberal the government is very right leaning wanting to close services deny lgbtq their rights. So you might have to keep that in mind
Now I’m in south Minnesota but I had family to move in with. Outside the twin cities housing and resources are stretched thin and hard to get. I had to wait three years to get a pdoc. I like my doctors but I already had Medicare and applied for Medicare right away. I was lucky after mum died to get into a senior high rise. I’m liking it here very much but I was stable when I moved here and the GP just kept me on the same meds. I don’t have a therapist so I can’t say how that is.
It’s not much but those are my experiences if it helps.
