And then at work, although I had a good week for the most part, one of my better work friends was suspended indefinitely pending an investigation, which usually means termination. And that's got me really down. On the plus side, I've been able to get some writing done. Not a lot, but some. And I still have all my pet birds to keep me company, they're great companions and they love me very much. I just have to take everything day by day, for the most part.

I worked in car insurance claims for many years and one of my jobs was the determination of fault for collisions. If you would like to PM me the details, I can tell you what the usual determination would be. Some things like rear-enders are always the fault of the rear vehicle, unless there is an independent witness who says the front vehicle was reversing. Side collisions can be contentious unless one vehicle had the right of way. I assume you have no witness or dashcam. Leaving the scene of the collision without providing information is usually against the law and reason to call the police.
