LT, I don’t have a choice. The public mental health service is a shambles in this country, and there are no private pdocs. A lot of primary care doctors won’t even give a referral unless the patient is psychotic, I just got one because my T convinced me to let her deal with my doctor to get me the referral. So I don’t really have an option. Although I did prefer the lady pdoc I had last time and was hoping for her again, but got this guy who seemed to be a consultant.
I just think it’s a bit much to be so rude about how I’ve gone about things when we all know the state of the public mental health service. My T did tell me they like to work in a little bubble and would not be open to communicating with her. So I just wanted the diagnosis I guess, and possible medication which I did get but am suspicious about since I don’t trust the pdoc.
He actually kept telling me to trust him which also really bothered me.
