Happiness is based off of situations in our life. When we find peace & contentment like @MuddyBoots says, it is much more permanent.
I was so unhappy & trying to end my life before I left that environment & moved far away. I found peace, & contentment & happiness followed. Even at my sadest moments after that I still felt a peace & contentment surrounding me
