Anyone know what a psychologist would do if their client who's diagnosed with SA and ASD says they think they can't properly take care of themselves in society financially and socially?

Would the psychologist consider putting me in a full-time mental hospital? I don't even know if such hospitals exists anymore. I'm talking about the hospital in the movie one flew over the cuckoo's nests.
