From my perspective, it seems that the high school's approach was not to offer a reward for "good" behavior. Instead, it was to withhold the reward in the case of "bad" behavior.

But what if some students can't have dairy? The policy regards them as if they were "bad," which is unfair.

I don't recall getting raised this way. And yet today this idea of a food reward is what undermines my attempts to maintain a healthy weight. I've convinced myself that I deserve a treat for getting through the day. So in my case, I came up with the idea myself.
