Surely by now the tech it takes to clone a human exists does it not? I've not looked into it much but they've cloned many vertebrates already. There's a whole list now with Dolly the sheep apparently being the first. I remember that event. It was way back in '96. The science must have come a long way since then. Somebody may have cloned a human by now but if that has happened it's being kept under tight wraps. The ethics involved would likely disturb too many folks on too many levels. Religious and sociological issues would be foremost I guess.
Personally I think the tech to clone a human likely exists. That said I also doubt the sci-fi 'clone' horrors of fiction will ever be a reality. Some of the population tend to have over-ripe imaginations on a lot of topics but that's probably just part of us being human. JMO [just my opinion]
