It is not incompetence. It is a choice to do it badly or carelessly. So much for equal partnership..

You’re absolutely right. “Weaponized incompetence” isn’t the same thing as just plain incompetence. It isn’t that you (general “you,” not aimed at anybody) don’t how to do something. It’s when you are *pretending* not to know how, and you consistently refuse to learn, so you get out of having to do it in the future. It’s done deliberately. Although my husband will insist he’s not doing it deliberately; he honestly “forgets” and can’t tell a night gown from a dress.
