I saw a doctor twice. Meds only helped a little bit. I got a chest xray which turned out to be normal too.

If he smokes in the house and in the car, then it’s obvious that you experience second hand smoking. There’s nothing that needs to be detected. He’s endangering your life by smoking around you on a regular basis. Your x ray being normal doesn’t mean you don’t have smokers cough. Of course it could be something else. If you’ve been coughing for 6 months, you need to see a doctor more than 2 times
