I play drums, guitar, and piano. I'm not supposed to due to my back (herniated disc) and arthritis in my hands. But, I do it anyway. I've found alternative treatments that help with pain, so I play as much as I can - every day. There are many instruments out there. Maybe you could learn a new one? Best of luck!
