Do you know what it feels like to have a persistent feeling of guilt --a feeling like someone is going to find out something about you and your life will come apart?

Seems like there is nothing specific that causes the guilt "complex."

I can reach back and find plenty of things I should feel guilty about, but this pervasive feeling I'm talking about here must be an accumulation of lots of things.

If I had ...
If I could ...
Why did I ...
Why didn't I ...
What could I have ...

A constant tightness of the chest, a feeling of weakness in muscles, alert to sounds and people around me ... kind of like a feeling that I should get up and move, get out, run ...

Note -- this is not posted to get sympathy ... I'm still grinding my teeth over the person on the other site who made such a big deal about "never give sympathy to a ptsd vet" ... arghhhhh. Where can we tell these kinds of things if not here?
