I did good and socialized tonight. H's work had a Christmas dinner at a fancy restaurant at a resort. Food was good, but not worth the price. People were good too. Kind and friendly, like last time. I tried really hard to be engaged. I was drawn to this one woman. She was loud and talking openly about her problems. She just felt so real. And her confidence in herself attracted others, too. They're a really good group of people. We just wish they'd pay H more because we are barely making ends meet. Somehow, H invited his boss and his family over to our place and then out to dinner AND invited a coworker and her H out to a separate dinner. That will be interesting... I just wish we were the same class. Our interests are just so different.
