For me, I've learned that trying to sleep on a set schedule doesn't work well. I go to bed once I feel like I will be able to go to sleep "soon." It turns out that my body/brain like the 1am bedtime the most consistently. I about drove myself crazy for years trying to do the whole sleep hygiene thing. It's just not for me. I hope you find a method that works well for you!
