I agree.
It’s very confrontational. This is why when asking a neighbor to politely turn down their tv, as an example, I don’t use the word YOU. You play your tv too loud. Instead, I say the walls are so thin, I need to get up early, they want to maintain privacy, maybe a deal can be made, etc.
This site could say “Unfortunately this option is not available.”
And I don’t see how it could be anything other than personal. It minimizes it. It’s like saying it isn’t personal cigarette smoking bothers someone. In that case it isn’t personal, it’s the smoke.
