I was born in Liverpool, and my parents spoke a lot of French at home, and I moved when I was pretty young- but somehow when I speak English I retain the accent. It's mixed in with my Québécois accent now, which makes for a very odd sounding accent My girlfriend is from Australia, so our children, when they're older, are going to have very strange accents!

When we speak French, though, we both have very Québécois accents.
