i wish i hadnt impulsively decided in my original post that Dohs' aquaintance is rude and obnoxious.. that was my assumption and it isnt necessarily correct.... (dang!)

maybe they use the term 'tree-hugger' endearingly? and this older gentleman is related or even a leader in the so named 'tree hugger movement'? i should get more info before i jump to assumptions about others...
