It got me thinking about how I thought and spoke as a child. It was always encouraged to be adult, use “big” words. So, I don’t remember myself ever having baby talk, childish, cute sayings. Interesting…

I used to play with my dog by dressing him up in clothes and wheeling him in a baby carriage, and he would let me. I guess I played with him pretending he was my baby. What a funny image of his big dog snout sticking out through a baby bonnet while he rides in a stroller! I can’t remember how I spoke then, and what I might have said.

It was probably something like, “Come on, let’s go to the grocery store now. I’ll get you a cookie from the bakery.” But, I may not have had that much word skill at that young age to say that.
what a fun image.. and thanks for sharing it!. I'm sure that doggy meant a lot to you. doggies are cute!

I can kind of relate to the using big words when I was a kid, my mother used to swear a lot (come home drunk), so at a young age I was exposed to a lot of cussing. she also, (and this was the hardest thing for me), forbid me to watch cartoons. it used to be either chat shows where they got people in the studio to talk about relationships, or it used to be soap operas

I don't quite remember the show, or what it was about, but every afternoon I would watch a show featuring an american woman called yolanda. I remember it because when she was on my mother used to insist I sat on the floor in the corner, not with her.
the only time I got to watch cartoons was when I was being baby sat. the girl was very religious though, and
sometimes didn't like me watching them either.

I remember Sesame Street, and I think something with a turtle in it. this is why, as I've got older, I have looked for ways I can enjoy my childhood safely, (by safely, no one looking at me and going em, that's just weird)

as an example, I'd quite like to crawl around on the floor like a toddler, but first I have back pain, and secondly, an old woman crawling around the floor chasing a bouncy ball?. somehow I think it just doesn't happen
