I highly recommend you hire an attorney that specializes in SSDI cases.

There is no cost up front and they won't take your case unless they are sure they can win it.

The process is demoralizing and dehumanizing ...

Therefore, it's best to have an expert to help you along the way.

Once you are granted the disability, you will receive a significant amount of back-pay.

That is where your attorney makes their money.

However, it's a capped amount - around 25% of the total back-pay.

My SSDI is due to an autoimmune condition that has wrecked my joints & connective tissues ...

It also re-triggered my PTSD something awful.

There is no way I could have navigated the process on my own, so that's my advice ...

Hire you an attorney that is experienced in Social Security Disability Law.

Get you an older one that's been at the game for a while.

Be totally open & honest with them about your physical & mental health conditions.

They'll know how best to complete the paperwork to your benefit on all that.

And remember, you owe nothing up front.

A legitimate SSDI Attorney will collect their fees after all is said and done.

Also, if you can find a good therapist, I recommend getting one of those too.

If you can't afford it, some cities and counties offer low cost to no cost counseling services.

I already had a therapist helping me with my PTSD & past trauma issues ...

She never missed a beat helping me to get through the disability process as well.

As overwhelming & discouraging as the process is, please don't give up!

You've worked and contributed to the system for 30 years (or more) ...

You've more than earned your benefits!
