I've spent nearly 9 hours this past week and tonight with McAfee tech support...and now it's down to a phone call tomorrow?

I can't download McAfee virus program.

Not sure exactly when my issue began, but it's been since Windows Vista service pack 1. McAfee says it has no compatibility issues with it. O k.

I've jumped through all the hoops, cleared caches, uninstalled possible issue programs (ad-aware, etc) I finally, the other day, "officially" uninstalled my McAfee, according to guidance of McAfee tech. and now I can download the download manager, but the manager cannot access it's own McAfee site. Plus, the McAfee virtual technician .exe prgm downloads, but when it goes to get data, the navigation/access to the webpage is cancelled.

I've been using Firefox due to intense problems with IE and Vista. But McAfee had me reinstall IE7, saying it works better with McAfee for downloading. (Once I got the program running, I could go back to Mozilla and redownload ad-aware etc.) Well? IE won't even load the McAfee site page!

I can't go to any websites other than here and maybe another that I trust as secure in the meantime.

ANY ideas... post them up!
