Off topic a bit LadyMe, but never read The Handmaid’s Tale or the sequel The Testaments. It’s fiction but speculative fiction. The men are in power and armed. Chilling and gripping book. You are right that men make the laws as with abortion. We outnumber men but they do have advantages over women that they have had for millennia.
