Actually, it's on 4/20 - (go figure), but I went into Raleigh to celebrate today because I had the day off.

Went to a bunch of meetings and saw a lot of people I met along the way in recovery. This is a big milestone for me because I never thought I would get this far. Jails, institutions and death they say, and I got two out of three. I went through the worst Hell in my life - alcohol had consumed me for such a long time in my life that when my husband introduced me to drugs, I fell right in straight down a rabbit hole that ended on a floor of jail cell and then into a homeless shelter for a year.

But I made it out alive! I made it to a point where I have my very own place, a reliable car, a job, a bunch of friends and an amazing relationship with my family.
