This is an example above, and a lot of people keep going “it’s just a harmless joke” and “it’s funny because it’s true”, when someone points out a joke is overused or not funny.

“No idea why someone is taking this serious enough for this subreddit.”

“Nah that’s funny. It’s a harmless joke.

I’m fine with stereotype jokes like this because they aren’t harmful and clearly jokes.”

“r/memesOPdidnotlike”

“Dude it's obviously meant to be a joke and its a harmless one at that, grow tf up”

The idea that bad jokes should be defended while demonizing people who criticize them is so bizarre. It sickens me how people think just because someone finds something offensive that apparently means they can’t “take a joke”, they “take everything too seriously”, and they just need to “grow up”.

It’s annoying how people believe they should get away with offensive humor just because they view others as a bunch of “snowflakes”. This needs to be called out more. They might think it’s a harmless joke, but they’d be singing a different tune once they know what it’s like to be in another person’s shoes.
