I used to have s major isolation problem too. Some things I found helpful are making sure I get out for a walk in a safe, public area everyday and at least smiling and saying hi to people I pass. I don’t know what kind of environment you live in, but here there are some activities at the library and at parks that can actually be kind of fun.

It’s all about making yourself available and giving off good vibes to make people feel more at ease around you.

If you really want to find some like minded people where you can open up more, but may have to put up with more, there are support groups.
