My aunt broke her arm - like 20 yrs ago now, so she was in her 70's? - washing the outside windows. It was pretty life-changing in terms of her pasta-making. Not so easy with rods and pins in your arm. My mom never hurt herself doing housework!
This apple did not fall far from that tree!
