You have 1800 income, so you pay about 600 in rent. So thats about a third, or thirty percent.
That leaves 1200 for everything else. Do you pay for a car, car insurance, gasoline, cable, phone, any medical stuff, personal care, stuff for the kids or grandkids, meals out, Starbucks? That wont leave you much for food.
From what ive seen of food pantry youtubes, its not ALL mac'n'cheese - they often have frozen meat and fresh or canned fruit and vegetables, beans and rice. Sometimes you can choose, sometimes you cant. Maybe your kids can use the more processed stuff.

No matter what math they are using (only posted it for those interested) I still barely have enough to survive after I pay my bills.
No food pantry near me offers fresh food.
I don't have kids at home and wouldn't feed them the garbage food pantries offer if I did.
My health issues don't allow me to eat canned processed or wheat products
