I love dogs but sometimes they remind you they're still wild animals.
I used to live in a rural area with acres of woods behind our house. We had three dogs at the time. Well, two but one just hung out at our place all the time so she became ours by osmosis. I don't think they killed it because it didn't look that fresh, but somebody found a dead fawn in the woods and brought it home. It then became a territorial issue because no one wanted to share their prize. A fight broke out. I wasn't happy because I now had to intervene in a situation involving a not-so-tiny dead baby animal. Then later they're being all cuddly and you forget again how wild they actually are.
