I read a newspaper or interact with people when I watch the news. William Shakespeare had things figured out pretty well way back in 1606. This is his famous quote from Macbeth, but it does not ring true. He is speaking of life here.
"Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player that struts and frets his hour upon the stage, and then is heard no more. It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing."
