One of my best friends called today to tell me that they found a mass on her thyroid and she needs more testing and possible surgery. I am so sad and scared for her right now. She is a single mom of 2 adopted daughters who were born with fetal alcohol syndrome and have major disorders and also a wonderful young son who is the most talented, funny and loving young man I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.

My friend is a psych nurse. We worked at the same agency for a number of years and is now in charge of a senior home and she just loves working with the folks.

My heart is aching for her and I am asking for some prayers and positive thoughts to be sent for her. She is a fabulous woman and so deserves for this not to be cancer. So many depend on her and she has given her life to others in need.....now that she is in need....I want to give something back to her.
