I was obsessed with a girl in 7th grade (and another in 9th grade, too). Maybe I had limerence, too, but the term wasn't invented back then.

It helped when I participated in activities outside of school. It took my mind off her / them.

That the "content is boring" makes me wonder if you should take advantage of ... not sure what it's called there: extra credit or advanced placement or ... higher grade level. My reasoning is that if your time is filled with boredom, you could be living with "miss limerence" in your fantasies, which will only intensify the longing and suffering.

Putting energy into school work might help you overcome the issue and provide for a better future.
