That sounds like a really tough life indeed. I don't see you as being needy. You have had rough breaks and that is very unfortunate.

Not having the love, support or care from another can cause tremendous damage to us, be it from a mental-emotional or self-esteem standpoint.

You do deserve to receive as much as you give and be appreciated and validated as such.
