I think it's more useful to focus on treating the cluster of symptoms as needed rather than labeling it as a whole thing where it can be assumed that what works for one will work for another.

Regardless of whether you "have schizophrenia," are antipsychotics helpful? If so, yeah, take 'em and let the doc put on their papers what they're gonna put on their papers. If not, well, drop the meds (under care of med provider of course).

Regardless of whether you "have BPD" you can learn how to combat the symptoms making them think you fit that dx with education and therapy.
