You can buy mini sun blocking umbrellas for personal shade. I was looking at a 2 in 1 sun and rain umbrella yesterday for my sister.
Even with the buy your own drinks venues that I’ve been to they have always handed out free water too.

Thanks, Lemon, I managed! No free water here at venues, unless it's from a water fountain. They charge $6 or more for a bottle of water. Seems like it's just setting people up for heat issues in the summer. Actually, this one indoor place I used to go to more regularly used to have pitchers of water and cups available, though I think they stopped that after the pandemic.
