I understand why you’re annoyed, it sounds like you were misled about the hours. Did the original advert specify full time hours? Do you have anything in writing with full time hours written?

If it was a verbal promise unfortunately I don’t think there’s anything you can do about it.

If they did mislead you it may be that they really needed workers to start right away and said anything they thought would get them. Just my guess.
