Thanks, Scarlet. I agree with this (if it's not obvious!). I think it's a natural desire.
I think of what ex-MC said when I told him once that I wanted to be special. He said, "You're special, just as all of my clients are special." It satisfied me at the time, even though I see how objectively, it could seem a bit patronizing.
